The Post Falls School District is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees elected by the citizens of the district to serve overlapping terms of four years each. Board members are not paid for their services.

The Board is a policy-making body and within the framework of state law exercises control over the educational and financial affairs of the school district. The Board’s responsibilities include the management of district policies consistent with state and federal law while considering interests of students, staff and community. Other Board activities include approving bond and levy elections for operational and facility needs. They also authorize major expenditures and the purchase and sale of school property. School Boards advocate for public education through community partnerships and school/district initiatives. School Board members have no power to act individually in the name of the Board. Action can only be taken when the Board is meeting in formal session with a majority of its members present. The Board recognizes it has an obligation to the people of Post Falls to plan the best possible educational program and to expend revenues wisely.

The regular meetings of the Board of Trustees will be held for the conduct of business commencing at 5:30 pm at River City Middle School, 1505 N Fir, Post Falls, Idaho, the second Monday of each month.

Board Members

Neil Uhrig

Mr. Uhrig has lived in the Post Falls community since 2006 with his wife and two children who are students attending schools within the district. Neil works for the US Secret Service and previously served 18 years with the Post Falls Police Department in various duty assignments, the most recent being Detective Sergeant.

Neil states, "My primary driving factor in wanting to serve on the school board is to be involved with my children's education in a very unique way. By being on the School Board, I hope to provide the support and leadership that will make all kids in Post Falls successful." As a former PFHS School Resource Officer and direct supervisor of the PFPD SRO program, Neil emphasized, "School safety is something that is near and dear to me." Neil believes that school safety not only means protecting students from violence on campus but also encompasses internet and social media safety and drug prevention.

Paul Wagner

Paul R. Wagner, a resident of Post Falls for over 40 years, has always had a strong commitment to the educational well-being of our community. His wife, Sharon, served as a dedicated teacher in the school district for 25 years. All three of Mr. Wagner's children proudly graduated from Post Falls High School further cementing his family's connection to the district.

In addition to his family's strong ties to the district, Mr. Wagner brings a wealth of volunteer and professional experience to the table. He had a 38 year career as a forester, where his hard work and years of experience helping manage company owned forests led to productive timberland. Mr. Wagner has served on Long Range Planning Committees, PTOs, the Booster Club and Senior Parents Committees. Furthermore, Mr. Wagner served as a former Fire Commissioner for Kootenai County Fire and Rescue, a member of Post Falls Lions Club, and St. George Catholic Church.

I look forward to working collaboratively with my fellow board members, administrators, teachers, parents, and the entire community to uphold and enhance the educational
standards of our district."

Sara Rodriguez

“Being a PFSD board member is a unique way for me to support our school district and students. I am all about our schools and feel I portray that in everything I do. Our students are the future, and it is important to invest in and support them.”

For over a decade, Mrs. Rodriguez has been a very involved PFSD parent as her son attended kindergarten through high school in the district, graduating in 2021. Over the years, Sara volunteered at school events, supported fundraisers, and actively participated in the PFHS Booster Club. Sara was a member of the Post Falls Football Moms all four years supporting the high school football teams and also participated in the senior class parents group. She continues to hold a general Booster board position and assists their regular activities. Sara is also involved with the Post Falls Junior Tackle & Cheer program (2012- current). In 2020, Sara was one of the founding members of the Citizens for Post Falls Schools group, and she continues to participate with the group in support of the students in the Post Falls School District.

Logan Creighton

Logan and his family have lived in Post Falls for almost three years. His educational background includes homeschooling experiences and completing several professional development programs. He is currently employed as a licensed employee in a retirement investment firm. Logan’s community involvement includes assisting with drama performances at his church, instructing dance for local balls, and bringing history to life in local Civil War enactments.

Jake Dawson

Jake and his family have a long history in our local community. Like Jake, his dad and aunts were raised in Post Falls and are all products of Post Falls School District. Jake’s post-secondary education includes an apprenticeship program for stationary engineering. He has earned certificates in trades such as high pressure steam boilers, welding, and medical gas and is currently a journeyman stationary engineer at Sacred Heart Medical Center. He also has his real estate license. Jake is an active member of the Heart of the City church, serving as a leader for Young Life for 5 years. Jake and his wife Raquel met at Post Falls High School and have been married since 2015. They have two young children.
