Supplemental Levy March 9th

On January 11, the Post Falls School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved a resolution for a supplemental levy election to be held on March 9, 2021.  The proposed levy amount will remain at $4.955 million per year for two years for a total of $9.91 million. The current levy expires on June 30, 2021. This proposal, if approved March 9, will not increase school district taxes of the average Post Falls taxpayer.

School to Resume 5 Days A Week on April 5th

At our board meeting on February 8th, we discussed returning to school full time after spring break.  Our reasoning is as follows:

  • All staff who were interested in receiving the vaccine would have both doses and the time necessary for the vaccine to take maximum effect.

  • Schools and families would have time to plan for a full-time return to school.

  • The district would have time to see if the variants of COVID require us to change our current mitigation efforts.

Once we return five days a week, it is our intention to finish the school year with this schedule barring any unforeseen circumstances.  A reminder late start Mondays have been cancelled for the year.  We are incredibly excited to return to school full time on April 5 th.  Here is a link to the Post Falls School District’s yellow operational plan: PFSD Yellow Operational Plan.pdf

We appreciate your patience and support this school year.

Updated HS Athletics Plan for Stage 2 Governor’s Order - 1/11/21

The Idaho Association of School Administrators, the Idaho High School Activities Association, the Idaho School Boards Association, and members of the Idaho State Board of Education submitted a plan for spectators at high school athletics resulting in the Governor amending his Stage 2 Order related to Athletic Events. School districts are required to sign and submit an assurance document to the Idaho State Board of Education, agreeing to the components in the plan. To view the updated High School Athletics Plan click here.

Please assist the district in complying with this plan so we can continue to allow spectators at our athletic events.
