Asbestos Management Plan

Many years ago the Post Falls School District removed small amounts of asbestos materials from school buildings in accordance with the Asbestos Hazards Emergency Response Act. Summit Environmental Inc. of Post Falls inspected all areas of abatement to assure that the work was done properly. While some asbestos materials are still present in some older buildings, most of the asbestos is in non-friable materials such as floor tile and cement board which do not release asbestos fibers under normal use. The other schools in District are asbestos-free. The Asbestos Management Plan has been updated to reflect these findings and is available for review at the District Administrative Office.
