KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

WHO:
Parents of children who will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2020, may register for kindergarten.
There is no need to bring your child. Screening will occur in August.

WHERE:
Registration will take place in the Seltice Music room. This room is located on the front side of our building and has an outside door that you will access, instead of coming through the office. Parking will be limited at the following times: before 9AM, from 11:30-12:30, and from 3:00-3:30. Please plan accordingly. Your neighborhood school is based on your student’s current home address. WHAT TO BRING:

  • Completed registration paperwork (found at pfsd.com)
  • Child’s certified birth certificate
  • Child's immunization records
  • Family’s proof of residence (ex: rent agreement or utility bill)
  • Health history with list of allergies & current medications.

Free & Reduced Meals

School lunches are a cost effective way to provide students with a nutritious meal during the school day. You may qualify to take advantage of this wonderful service allowing your child to eat for free or at a reduced cost.

If you think you might qualify, please take a few minutes to complete a free and reduced lunch application - - forms are available at the school office or can be found on the District website under Departments, Nutritional Services, Forms (https://www.pfsd.com/17/home).  Just return the completed form to the District Office (206 W. Mullan Ave.), to your student’s teacher, or to your school office. All information is totally confidential. If you need assistance or have questions with the application please call 208-773-1625.

Even if you choose not to take advantage of the free and reduced lunch program, a qualifying application can increase the school district’s allocated dollars which go directly toward our Title One reading program which helps students improve in reading.

Title One is a reading intervention program offered at all of our elementary schools to help students gain the skills needed to meet the state and district reading benchmarks. Our program receives its funding from the federal government. All of our Title funding is based on the number of students in the district who qualify for free and/or reduced lunch.

If you have already completed an application for this school year, you don’t need to fill it out again. Applications must be completed annually.

 

School Messenger

The Post Falls School District has joined the School Messenger emergency notification system. The system allows the district to communicate via SMS text messages to parents regarding important matters such as a school lockdown, school closure (weather or otherwise) or other issues that affect their students.

To receive school notifications you must opt-in to school messenger. Please follow the steps below to opt in:

**Send a text message to 67587 with the word “subscribe” in the body of the text.

**You will receive a confirmation text reply that you are Registered with School Messenger.
