Kindergarten Registration for 2020-2021

PVE families,

We are excited to welcome Kindergarten students to PVE this fall!  Parents can register Kindergarten students on April 28 here at PVE.  Click here for more information.

A few notes to help the process go smoothly for you:

  • No need for students to attend the April registration; we will screen students on August 19 (details will be posted when finalized).

  • You can print and complete your paperwork in advance.

  • Our parking lot can be busy during drop-off (8:25 - 8:45) and dismissal (3:10 - 3:25).

  • Session placements will not be first-come, first-served, so feel free to stop by any time during the day.

We look forward to welcoming you to our PVE community!  Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Free & Reduced Meals

School lunches are a cost effective way to provide students with a nutritious meal during the school day. You may qualify to take advantage of this wonderful service allowing your child to eat for free or at a reduced cost.

If you think you might qualify, please take a few minutes to complete a free and reduced lunch application - - forms are available at the school office or can be found on the District website under Departments, Nutritional Services, Forms (https://www.pfsd.com/17/home).  Just return the completed form to the District Office (206 W. Mullan Ave.), to your student’s teacher, or to your school office. All information is totally confidential. If you need assistance or have questions with the application please call 208-773-1625.

Even if you choose not to take advantage of the free and reduced lunch program, a qualifying application can increase the school district’s allocated dollars which go directly toward our Title One reading program which helps students improve in reading.

Title One is a reading intervention program offered at all of our elementary schools to help students gain the skills needed to meet the state and district reading benchmarks. Our program receives its funding from the federal government. All of our Title funding is based on the number of students in the district who qualify for free and/or reduced lunch.

If you have already completed an application for this school year, you don’t need to fill it out again. Applications must be completed annually.
