Read to Ride Silverwood Tickets

Silverwood is extending the Read to Ride program until April 30. That is an extra month for kid1s to read. Let's see if we can get 100% participation.

All students who read 10 hours for recreation earn a Silverwood Theme Park ticket before school gets out this summer.

Mullan Trail teachers sent home information earlier this month. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions about this program.

Free & Reduced Meals

School lunches are a cost effective way to provide students with a nutritious meal during the school day. You may qualify to take advantage of this wonderful service allowing your child to eat for free or at a reduced cost.

If you think you might qualify, please take a few minutes to complete a free and reduced lunch application - - forms are available at the school office or can be found on the District website under Departments, Nutritional Services, Forms (https://www.pfsd.com/17/home).  Just return the completed form to the District Office (206 W. Mullan Ave.), to your student’s teacher, or to your school office. All information is totally confidential. If you need assistance or have questions with the application please call 208-773-1625.

Even if you choose not to take advantage of the free and reduced lunch program, a qualifying application can increase the school district’s allocated dollars which go directly toward our Title One reading program which helps students improve in reading.

Title One is a reading intervention program offered at all of our elementary schools to help students gain the skills needed to meet the state and district reading benchmarks. Our program receives its funding from the federal government. All of our Title funding is based on the number of students in the district who qualify for free and/or reduced lunch.

If you have already completed an application for this school year, you don’t need to fill it out again. Applications must be completed annually.
