On July 29th, the Post Falls School Board approved the PFSD Reopening Plan 2020-21 (link). As you know, the school district must be able to respond quickly to changing local, regional, and state conditions due to COVID-19. Our reopening plan includes a Green, Yellow, Orange, and Red system which outlines what students, staff, and parents can expect under the different conditions. In developing this plan, our goal was to provide flexibility and consistency for students, families, and staff while mitigating risks and minimizing the spread of COVID-19.
For planning purposes, all PFSD parents are strongly encouraged to complete a short survey regarding their intention to return their students to school. This very brief survey called “Enrollment Intent Form” is being distributed to the parents of all currently enrolled PFSD students through email.
The PFSD website will be updated as the start of the school year approaches. Because the health situation continues to evolve in our area, by the end of August, the school district will determine which level of operation (green, yellow, orange or red) for our September 8th reopening.
