2020-2021 Kindergarten

For over 20 years, we have housed all kindergarten students at the Frederick Post Kindergarten site. However, it has long been a goal of the school district to return the kindergarten students to their “home” elementary schools where they can enjoy a K-5 experience.  Recent voter approval of the March 2019 bond for a new elementary school in the Foxtail subdivision means all kindergarten students will return to their home schools in the fall of 2020.  The staff, students and parents at our elementary schools are eager to welcome their kindergarten students.

In the beginning of March, more information will be shared regarding a spring registration and a fall kindergarten open house at each elementary school.

PFSD Names Principal for New Elementary School

Welcome, Mrs. Kramer!

Post Falls School District is excited to announce Mrs. Kramer as principal of our newest elementary school.  Katrina Kramer started her career in the Post Falls School District two decades ago, serving as a first grade teacher and Title I teacher at Ponderosa Elementary. In 2008, she became the principal at Mullan Trail Elementary. During her time at Mullan Trail, Mrs. Kramer was awarded a grant from the state, creating one of Idaho’s first Google schools. She was also recognized by the Idaho Association of Elementary School Principals for her distinguished service in 2015. Outside of work, Mrs. Kramer enjoys golfing, listening to live music and entertaining friends and family at her home.

New Elementary School: projected timeline

We are excited to move forward with the construction of our new elementary school and our remodel/enhancement projects.  As you recall, the new school is scheduled to be open for students in the fall of 2020, and the remodel projects will take place over a minimum of three summers.  There will be a limited number of remodel projects this summer because of the short timeline to design and bid the enhancements.  The majority of the remodel projects will take place during the summer of 2020 and 2021.
